Fajga Bojmal

Fajga Bojmal wurde 1891 im polnischen Zelechów geboren. Sie heiratete den Schneider Avraham Bojmal und gründete eine Familie mit ihm. Das Ehepaar zog in der Zwischenkriegszeit mit seinen vier Kindern nach Paris, dort kam 1931 das fünfte Kind des Paares zur Welt. Im Juni 1940 besetzte die Wehrmacht Frankreich. Juden wurden von nun an systematisch entrechtet und aus dem öffentlichen Leben gedrängt. Fajga Bojmal wurde im Internierungslager Pithiviers festgehalten und am 3. August 1942 nach Auschwitz deportiert. Dort verliert sich ihre Spur.

Fajga Bojmal was born in 1891 in the Polish town of Zelechów. She married the tailor Avraham Bojmal and they started a family. Between the wars, the couple moved with their four children to Paris, where their fifth child was born in 1931. In June 1940 the Wehrmacht occupied France. From that point on, Jews were systematically deprived of their rights and expelled from public life. Fajga Bojmal was interned in the Pithiviers transit camp and deported to Auschwitz on 3 August 1942. She was not seen again.
