Simha Kaplan

Simha Kaplan lebte in Dokschizy, einer Kleinstadt etwa siebzig Kilometer nördlich von Minsk im heutigen Weißrussland. Bald nach dem Einmarsch der Deutschen Wehrmacht im Juni 1941 musste Simha Kaplan wie die übrige jüdische Bevölkerung von Dokschizy in ein Ghetto ziehen. Während der Liquidation des Ghettos im Frühjahr 1942 wurden nahezu alle der mehr als 3.000 Juden der Stadt ermordet. Unter den Opfern war höchstwahrscheinlich auch Simha Kaplan.

Simha Kaplan lived in Dokschizy, a town about seventy kilometres north of Minsk, in what is today Belarus. Soon after the arrival of German occupying forces in June 1941, Simha Kaplan had to move into a ghetto together with the remaining Jews of Dokschizy. During the liquidation of the ghetto in the spring of 1942, nearly all of the more than 3,000 Jews of the town were murdered. Simha Kaplan was probably among the victims.
