Maksymilian Eljowicz wurde 1890 geboren. Er lebte in Warschau und war Kunstmaler. Im September 1939 besetzte die Wehrmacht die Stadt. Etwa ein Jahr später errichteten die Besatzer ein Ghetto. Auch Maksymilian Eljowicz und seine Ehefrau mussten fortan dort leben. Im Juli 1942 begannen SS- und Polizeiverbände mit der Deportation von 300.000 Juden in das Vernichtungslager Treblinka, wo sie mit Motorabgasen ermordet wurden. Eines der Opfer war Maksymilian Eljowicz. Er wurde 52 Jahre alt.

Maksymilian Eljowicz was born in 1890. He lived in Warsaw and was an artist. In September 1939 the Wehrmacht occupied the city, setting up a ghetto about one year later. Maksymilian Eljowicz and his wife were among those who were forced to move there from the start. In July 1942, SS and police troops launched the deportation of 300,000 Jews from the Warsaw ghetto to the Treblinka Extermination Camp, where they were murdered with engine exhaust fumes. Maksymilian Eljowicz was among the victims. He was 52 years old.
