Pincu Fonea

Pincu Fonea wurde 1906 in Rumänien geboren. Er lebte mit seiner Ehefrau Sara und ihrer 1936 geborenen Tochter Cecilia in Jassy. Am 29. Juni 1941 kam es dort zu einem Pogrom. Pincu Fonea floh mit seiner Familie in die Hafenstadt Constanta. Anfang August 1944 bestieg die Familie das Flüchtlingsschiff Mefkure, das sie nach Palästina bringen sollte. Am 5. August torpedierte ein sowjetisches U-Boot die Mefkure. Pincu Fonea ertrank im Schwarzen Meer.

Pincu Fonea was born in 1906 in Romania. He lived in Jsssy with his wife Sara and their daughter Cecilia, who was born in 1936. On the 29th of June 1941 a pogrom took place there. Pincu Fonea fled with his family to the harbour city of Constanta. At the state of August 1944, they boarded the refugee ship Mefkure, which was to take the family to Palestine. On the 5th of August, a Soviet submarine torpedoed the Mefkure. Pincu Fonea drowned in the Black Sea.
