Reiza Lea Langman

Kauffrau, Möbelhändlerin, Hausfrau ermordet 1945 in Stutthof (KZ)

Reiza Lea Langman lebte in Jonava, einer Stadt im heutigen Litauen. 1901 heiratete sie den Möbelhändler Jakov-Leib Langman. Das Paar bekam zwei Söhne und vier Töchter. Nach der Besetzung Litauens durch deutsche Truppen musste Familie Langman im Ghetto von Kaunas leben und Zwangsarbeit leisten. Kurz vor der Ghettoauflösung gelang es ihnen, sich zu verstecken. Doch am 12. Juli 1944 wurden sie entdeckt und in verschiedene Konzentrationslager deportiert. Reiza Lea Langman starb am 15. Januar 1945 im Konzentrationslager Stutthof bei Danzig. Die Umstände ihres Todes sind nicht bekannt.

Reiza Lea Langman lived in the town of Jonava, today in Lithuania. In 1901, she married the furniture dealer Jakov-Leib Langman. The couple had two sons and four daughters. After the occupation of Lithuania by German troops, the Langmans were forced to live in the Kovno ghetto and perform forced labour. Shortly before the dissolution of the ghetto, they managed to hide. But on July 12th 1944 they were discovered and deported to different concentration camps. Reiza Lea Langman died on January 15th 1945 in the Stutthof concentration camp near Gdansk. The circumstances of her death are unknown.
