Ella Lantzeter

Ella Lantzeter wurde 1893 im polnischen Brody geboren. Sie war mit Arnold Lantzeter verheiratet. Das Paar bekam zwei Söhne, Henri und Samuel. Als die deutsche Wehrmacht Brody besetzte, musste Ella Lantzeter mit ihrer Familie in das Ghetto, das unweit der Synagoge errichtet wurde, umsiedeln. Die Lebensbedingungen dort waren katastrophal. Im Herbst 1942 deportierte die SS etwa 5.000 jüdische Einwohner in das Vernichtungslager Belzec und ermordete sie mit Motorabgasen. Unter den Deportierten waren auch Ella Lantzeter, ihr Ehemann und ihr Sohn Samuel. Ella Lantzeter wurde 49 Jahre alt.

Ella Lantzeter was born in 1893 in the Polish town of Brody. She was married to Arnold Lantzeter. They had two sons, Henri and Samuel. When the German Wehrmacht occupied Brody, Ella Lantzeter and her family were forced to move to the ghetto established near the synagogue. The living conditions were catastrophic. In the autumn of 1942 the SS deported about 5,000 Jews from the ghetto to the Belzec extermination camp and murdered them with engine exhaust fumes. Ella Lantzeter, her husband and their son Samuel were among the deportees. Ella Lantzeter was 49 years old.
