Róża Koplowicz

Róża Koplowicz wurde 1914 im polnischen Będzin geboren. Ihre Eltern besaßen dort eine Textilmanufaktur. Die Familie hatte sieben Kinder, die religiös erzogen wurden. Nach der deutschen Besetzung der Stadt wurde das Familiengeschäft beschlagnahmt. Róża Koplowicz musste mit ihrer Familie ins Ghetto ziehen. Noch 1943 heiratete sie dort. Bald darauf begannen die Deportationen. Wie die meisten ihrer Familienangehörigen wurde auch Róża Koplowicz wahrscheinlich im August 1943 nach Auschwitz deportiert und dort mit Zyklon B erstickt. Sie war etwa 29 Jahre alt.

Róża Koplowicz was born in 1914 in the Polish city of Będzin, where her parents owned a textile factory. The family had seven children, who were raised to be religious. After the German Army occupied the city, the family business was confiscated. Róża Koplowicz had to move into a ghetto with her family. She even married there, in 1943. But the deportations began soon afterward. As were most of her relatives, Róża Koplowicz probably was deported to Auschwitz in August 1943 and asphyxiated with Zyklon B there. She was about 29 years old.
