Yosef Shmulovitz

Yosef Shmulovitz lebte mit seiner Frau Chanah in Sheludok, einem polnischen Dorf bei Lida im heutigen Weißrussland. Im Juni 1941 marschierte dort die Deutsche Wehrmacht ein. Die Juden des Dorfes mussten bald darauf in ein Ghetto ziehen und Zwangsarbeit leisten. Am 9. Mai 1942 versammelten die Besatzer den Großteil der Juden von Sheludok auf dem jüdischen Friedhof und erschossen sie dort. Unter ihnen war wahrscheinlich auch Yosef Shmulovitz.

Yosef Shmulovitz lived with his wife Chanah in Sheludok, a Polish village near Lida, which today lies within Belarus. In June 1941, the German Army occupied the area. The Jews of the village soon were forced to move into a ghetto and to work as forced labourers. On 9 May 1942 the occupiers assembled most of the Jews of Sheludok at the Jewish cemetery and shot them there. It is likely that Yosef Shmulovitz was among the victims.
