Paula Freund

Paula Freund wurde in der tschechischen Hauptstadt Prag geboren. Sie heiratete und betrieb mit ihrem ebenfalls aus Prag stammenden Mann Heinrich ein Geschäft. Im März 1939 marschierte die deutsche Wehrmacht ein. Ab 1941 wurden die Juden der Stadt systematisch in die Konzentrationslager deportiert. Zu ihnen gehörte auch Paula Freund. Die genauen Umstände ihres Todes sind nicht bekannt. Sie starb vermutlich 1943 im Alter von 58 Jahren.

Paula Freund was born in the Czech capital Prague. She married, and she and her husband Heinrich, also from Prague, ran a business together. In March 1939 the German Army occupied the area. As of 1941 the Jews of the city were deported systematically to concentration camps. Paula Freund was among them. The exact circumstances of her death are unknown. She most probably died in 1943 at the age of 58.
