Salomon Kohn

Salomon Kohn wurde am 20. August 1927 im ukrainischen Lemberg geboren, das damals zu Polen gehörte. Sein Vater betrieb hier ein Haushaltswarengeschäft. Salomon wurde Bürstenmacher. Im Juni 1941 besetzte die deutsche Wehrmacht Lemberg. Ein Jahr später wurde Salomon als Zwangsarbeiter in das Lager Zloczow östlich der Stadt eingewiesen. Er erkrankte dort an Typhus. Seiner Mutter gelang es heimlich, aus dem Ghetto zu ihm zu kommen und ihn gesund zu pflegen. Salomon Korn wurde bei der Liquidierung des Lagers im Sommer 1943 ermordet. Er war 16 Jahre alt.

Salomon Kohn was born on August 20, 1927 in the Ukrainian city of Lvov, which belonged at the time to Poland. His father had a store for household goods. Salomon became a brushmaker. In June 1941, the German Wehrmacht occupied Lvov. One year later, Salomon was sent as a forced laborer to the Zloczow camp east of the city. There he came down with typhoid fever. His mother managed to secretly leave the ghetto and nurse him back to health. Salomon Korn was murdered during the liquidation of the camp in the summer of 1943. He was 16 years old.
