Bertha Davidovitz lebte mit ihrem Ehemann Shmuel in Nagyszőllős, einer Stadt am Fuß der Waldkarpaten. Im Juni 1939 wurde die Region von Ungarn annektiert. Nach der Besetzung Ungarns durch deutsche Truppen errichteten die Besatzer in der Stadt ein Ghetto, in das sie 12.000 Juden aus Nagyszőllős und der Umgebung sperrten. Zwischen Mai und Juni 1944 deportierte die SS alle Ghettobewohner in das Vernichtungslager Auschwitz. Die Mehrheit von ihnen wurde direkt nach der Ankunft mit Giftgas erstickt. Wahrscheinlich befand sich auch Bertha Davidovitz unter den Ermordeten.

Bertha Davidovitz lived with her husband Shmuel in Nagyszőllős, a town in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. The region was annexed by Hungary in 1939. After German troops occupied Hungary, the occupation authority established a ghetto in the town, into which 12,000 Jews from Nagyszőllős and environs were forced to move. Between May and June 1944, the SS deported all ghetto inhabitants to the Auschwitz Extermination Camp. Most of them were asphyxiated with poison gas immediately after their arrival. It is most likely that Bertha Davidovitz was among those murdered.
