Leya Fuks

Leya Fuks wurde 1895 geboren. Sie lebte in Trostyanets, einer ukrainischen Kleinstadt am südlichen Bug. Am 25. Juli 1941 besetzte die Deutsche Wehrmacht die Stadt, ihr folgte die Einsatzgruppe D, deren Kommandos sofort mit der Ermordung der örtlichen Juden begannen. Viele Juden von Trostyanets starben schon in den ersten Wochen der Besatzung. Unter den Opfern war auch Leya Fuks. Sie war etwa 46 Jahre alt.

Leya Fuks was born in 1895. She lived in Trostyanets, a small Ukrainian town on the Southern Bug River. On 25 July 1941, the German Wehrmacht occupied the town, the troops were folloewd by Mobile Killing Unit D, whose commandos immediately began to murder the local Jewish population. Many Jews of Trostyanets died in the first weeks of the occupation. Among the victims was Leya Fuks. She was about 46 years old.
