Pharmazeutin ermordet 1942 in Sewastopol

Sonya Polovets arbeitete als Pharmazeutin in Sewastopol auf der Krim, im Südwesten der Sowjetunion. Am 1. Juli 1942 eroberte die Deutsche Wehrmacht die Stadt. In ihrem Gefolge war die Einsatzgruppe D, die sofort mit der Ermordung der Sewastopoler Juden begann. Wenige Tage nach dem Einmarsch erschoss das Sonderkommando 11a etwa 30 jüdische Männer. Von nun an stieg die Zahl der Ermordeten täglich.. Sonya Polovets wurde am 6. Juli 1942 erschossen.

Sonya Polovets worked as a pharmacist in Sevastopol in the Crimea, in the southwestern Soviet Union. On 1 July 1942, the German Wehrmacht occupied the city. The troupes were followed by Mobile Killing Unit D, which immediately began murdering Jews of Sevastopol. Just days after the city was captured, Special Commando 11a shot about 30 Jewish men. From that point on, the number of murders climbed daily. Sonya Polovets was shot on 6 July 1942.
