Mariam Firson

Mariam Firson lebte in Sewastopol auf der Krim, im Südwesten der Sowjetunion, als am 1. Juli 1942 die Deutsche Wehrmacht einmarschierte. In ihrem Gefolge war die Einsatzgruppe D, deren Kommandos sofort mit der Ermordung der Sewastopoler Juden begannen. Wenige Tage nach dem Einmarsch erschoss das Sonderkommando 11a etwa 30 jüdische Männer. Am 13. Juli 1942 wurden über 4000 Juden in Gaswagen erstickt oder in Gräben vor der Stadt erschossen. Mariam Firson wurde am 13. Juli 1942 erschossen. Sie war 44 Jahre alt.

Mariam Firson was living in Sevastopol in the Crimea, in the southwestern Soviet Union, when the German Wehrmacht marched in the 1 July 1942. The troops were followed by Mobile Killing Unit D, which commandos immediately began to murder the Jews of Sevastopol. Just days after their arrival, Special Commando 11a shot dead about 30 Jewish men. On 12 July 1942, more than 4,000 Jews were suffocated in gas vans or shot in ditches outside the city. Mariam Firson was shot and killed on the 13. July 1942. She was about 44 years old.
