Kató Szigeti wurde 1921 im ungarischen Székesfehérvár geboren. Nach der Besetzung Ungarns durch deutsche Truppen im März 1944 begann die SS auch hier mit der systematischen Verfolgung der jüdischen Einwohner. Ende Mai 1944 sperrten SS und Polizeikräfte 2700 Juden der Region in eine Ziegelei vor der Stadt. Die meisten wurden anschließend in das Vernichtungslager Auschwitz deportiert und dort mit Giftgas ermordet. Kató Szigeti wurde in das Konzentrationslager Stutthof verschleppt. Die genauen Umstände ihres Todes sind nicht bekannt. Sie war 21 Jahre alt.
