Andor Füredi

Andor Füredi lebte in Kápolnásnyék, einem kleinen ungarischen Ort am Fuße des Velence-Gebirges. Als im Frühjahr 1944 deutsche Truppen das Land besetzten, begann unter dem Kommando von Adolf Eichmann die systematische Vernichtung der jüdischen Bevölkerung. Mit Hilfe ungarischer Polizisten trieb die SS Andor Füredi und andere Juden auf einem Fußmarsch zur Grenze, um Zwangsarbeit im damaligen Deutschen Reich zu verrichten. Auf dem Weg in das Konzentrationslager Mauthausen wurde er erschossen. Andor Füredi war 38 Jahre alt.

Andor Füredi lived in Kápolnásnyék, a small town at the foot of the Velence mountains in Hungary. After German troops occupied the country in the spring of 1944, the systematic extermination of the Jewish population began, under the commando of Adolf Eichmann. With help from Hungarian police units, the SS drove Andor Füredi and other Jews on foot towards the German Reich, where they were meant to work as slave labourers. He was shot on the way to the Mauthausen concentration camp. Andor Füredi was 38 years old.
