Sara Frutko

Sara Frutko lebte in Industriestadt Rostow am Don im Süden der Sowjetunion. Sie wohnte in der Uliza Stanislawskaja, einer Straße in der viele Juden lebten. Am 22. Juli 1942 besetzte die Wehrmacht die stark umkämpfte Stadt zum zweiten Mal. Am 11. August 1942 fuhren die die Besatzer die Juden von Rostow mit Lastwagen zur Smijowskaja Balka, einer nahe gelegenen Schlucht, wo das SS-Einsatzkommando 10a alle erschoss. Unter den Opfern war auch Sara Frutko.

Sara Frutko lived in the industrial city of Rostov-on-Don in the southern Soviet Union. She lived in Uliza Stanislawskaja, a street that was home to many Jews. On 22 July 1942 the Wehrmacht captured the embattled city for the second time. On 11 August 1942 the occupiers transported Rostov’sJews in lorries to Smijowskaja Balka, a nearby ravine, where SS- mobile killing unit 10a shot all of them. Among the victims was Sara Frutko.
