Iwan Lopatin

Iwan Lopatin lebte in Rostow am Don,einer Industriestadt im Süden der Sowjetunion. Die stark umkämpfte Stadt wurde zwei Mal von der deutschen Wehrmacht erobert. Unmittelbar nach der zweiten Einnahme Rostows im Juli 1942, verhafteten das SS-Einsatzkommando 10a und die Geheime Feldpolizei Gruppe 13 rund 700 Personen, von denen sie 400 ermordete. Wahrscheinlich war auch Iwan Lopatin unter den Inhaftierten. Seitdem hat man nie mehr etwas von ihm gehört.

Iwan Lopatin lived in Rostov-on-Don, an industrial city in the southern Soviet Union. The fiercely embattled city was occupied twice by the German Wehrmacht. Shortly after Rostov was taken for the second time, in July 1942, SS mobile killing squad 10a and the Secret Military Police Group 13 arrested about 700 people and killed 400 of them. It is likely that Iwan Lopatin was among those arrested. He was not heard from again.
