Tonia Pack

Tonia Pack wurde am 19. November 1937 in der belgischen Stadt Antwerpen geboren. Tonia hatte eine 2 Jahre ältere Schwester namens Paula. Im Mai 1940 besetzte die Wehrmacht Tonias Heimatstadt. Die deutschen Besatzungsbehörden schränkten die Rechte der Juden extrem ein. Ab März 1942 organisierten sie deren Deportation in die Vernichtungslager. Tonia wurde am 24. Oktober 1942 nach Auschwitz deportiert und dort direkt nach ihrer Ankunft mit Zyklon B vergiftet. Tonia Pack war vier Jahre alt.

Tonia Pack was born on 19 November 1937 in the Belgian city of Antwerp. Tonia had a sister, Paula, who was two years older. In May 1940 the Wehrmacht occupied Tonia’s home city. The German occupational authority drastically reduced the rights of the Jews. From March 1942 the authorities organized the deportation of the Jews to extermination camps. Tonia was deported to Auschwitz on 24 October 1942 and poisoned with Zyklon B directly after her arrival there. Tonia Pack was four years old.
