Kaufmann (Windmühlenbesitzer) ermordet 1942 in unklar

Szlomo Polakewicz lebte in Łosice östlich von Warschau. Er war verheiratet, und von Beruf Kaufmann; ihm gehörte eine der drei Wassermühlen im Schtetl. Im Herbst 1939 wurde Łosice von der Wehrmacht besetzt. Am Morgen des 22. August 1942 trieb die SS etwa 5.500 Juden auf dem Marktplatz zusammen. Unter Schüssen wurden sie zum Bahnhof nach Siedlce gejagt. Von dort deportierte die SS die Erschöpften in Viehwaggons nach Treblinka. Nur noch 500 kamen lebend an. Sie wurden mit Motorabgasen vergiftet. Szlomo Polakewicz hat nicht überlebt.

Szlomo Polakewicz lived in Łosice, east of Warsaw. He was married, worked as a merchant, and owned one of the three water mills in the shtetl. In the autumn of 1939 the Wehrmacht occupied Łosice. On the morning of 22 August 1942 the SS drove about 5,500 Jews onto the marketplace. They were herded to the railway station toward Siedlce under gunfire The SS then deported the exhausted people to Treblinka, in cattle cars. Only 500 were still alive upon their arrival. They were poisoned with engine exhaust fumes. Szlomo Polakewicz did not survive.
