Ita Frydler

Ita Frydler wohnte in Będzin im oberschlesischen Industriegebiet. Vor Beginn des Zweiten Weltkriegs lebten mehr als 20.000 Juden in der Stadt, die eines der Zentren der zionistischen Bewegung in Polen war. Im September 1939 marschierte die Wehrmacht dort ein. Im Mai 1942 begannen SS und Polizeieinheiten mit der systematischen Vernichtung der jüdischen Bevölkerung. Sie erschossen Ita Frydler während der Deportationen im Juni 1943, zusammen mit 74 anderen Juden. Ita Frydler war 77 Jahre alt.

Ita Frydler lived in the town of Będzin the Upper Silesian industrial region. Before the outbreak of World War II, more than 20,000 Jews lived in the town, which was one of the centres of the Zionist movement in Poland. In September 1939 the Wehrmacht entered the area. In May 1942 the SS and police units began their systematic extermination of the Jewish population. They shot Ita Frydler during Deportations in June 1943, together with 74 other Jews. Ita Frydler was 77 years old.
