Izaak Grinboim lebte im polnischen Dynów, einem kleinen Ort am Fuß der Karpaten. Vor dem Krieg lebte die Bevölkerung hauptsächlich vom Obstanbau. Im Zuge des Überfalls auf Polen besetzte die Wehrmacht den Ort. Ihr folgten wenige Tage später SS-Einheiten. Sie erschossen am 15. September 1939, dem Tag des jüdischen Neujahrsfestes, 300 Juden in einem nahe gelegenen Wald. Unter den Opfern war auch Izaak Grinboim.

Izaak Grinboim lived in the small Polish town of Dynów, in the foothills of the Carpathian mountains. Before the war, most of the population earned their living in fruit production. Following the attack on Poland the Wehrmacht occupied the town. SS units followed a few days later. On 15 September 1939, the start of the Jewish New Year, they shot 300 Jews in a nearby forest. Among the victims was Izaak Grinboim.
