Salamon Landesmann

Salamon Landesmann wurde 1905 in dem Karpatendorf Batovo geboren. 1938 musste die Slowakei das Gebiet an Ungarn abtreten. Die neuen Machthaber verschleppten jüdische Männer zur Zwangsarbeit an die Front. Viele kamen dort um. Auch Salamon Landesmann wurde zur Zwangsarbeit an die russische Front nach Ostrogoshsk deportiert. Über sein weiteres Schicksal ist nichts bekannt.

Salamon Landesmann was born in 1905 in the village of Batovo, in the Carpathian mountains. In 1938 Slovakia had to cede the border region to Hungary. The new authorities deported Jewish men to forced labour details on the front lines. Many died there. Salamon Landesmann was deported to a detail on the Russian front, in Ostrogoshsk. There are no further details about his fate.
