Isak Schmulowitsch

Isak Schmulowitsch wurde 1930 geboren. Er lebte in Lida, das damals zu Polen gehörte. Im Juni 1941 besetzten deutsche Truppen die Stadt. Bald errichteten sie ein Ghetto, in dem auch Isak Schmulowitsch fortan leben musste. Am 8. Mai 1942 erschossen die Besatzer fast 6.000 Juden außerhalb der Stadt. Eines der Opfer war Isak Schmulowitsch.

Isak Schmulowitsch was born in 1930. He lived in Lida, which was then part of Poland. In June 1941 German troops occupied the city, and forced its Jews into a ghetto, within whose confines Isak Schmulowitsch immediately had to move. On 8 May 1942 the occupiers shot nearly 6,000 Jews from Lida outside the town. Isak Schmulowitsch was among the victims.
