Natan Abbe

Natan Abbe, der Sohn des Geschäftsinhabers Israel Abbe, wurde im polnischen Lodz geboren. Zusammen mit drei Geschwistern wuchs er in der Großstadt heran. Er war noch Schüler, als die Deutsche Wehrmacht 1939 einmarschierte. Im Frühjahr 1940 mussten er und seine Familie ins Ghetto der Stadt ziehen. Natan wurde Ende 1940 von deutschen Soldaten am Ghettotor erschossen. Wahrscheinlich hatte er versucht, außerhalb des Ghettos heimlich etwas zu Essen für seine Familie zu besorgen. Natan Abbe wurde 16 Jahre alt.

Natan Abbe, son of the shop owner Israel Abbe, was born in the Polish city of Lodz. He grew up there together with three brothers and sisters. He was still a pupil at school when the German Wehrmacht occupied the town in 1939. In the spring of 1940, he and his family were forced to relocate to the ghetto there. At the end of 1940, Natan was shot dead by German soldiers at the gate of the ghetto. He had probably tried to obtain something for his family to eat outside the ghetto. Natan Abbe was 16 years old at the time.
