Toni Albin

Toni Albin lebte mit ihrem Ehemann, dem Schneider Isac Albin, in der rumänischen Stadt Jassy. Mit dem Beginn des deutsch-rumänischen Feldzuges gegen die Sowjetunion verbreiteten rumänische Behörden das Gerücht, dass Juden den kommunistischen Feind unterstützen. Am 29. Juni 1941 eskalierte die Situation in einem Pogrom, dem Tausende von Juden zum Opfer fielen. Unter den Ermordeten war wahrscheinlich auch Toni Albin.

Toni Albin lived with her husband, the tailor Isac Albin, in the Romanian city of Iaşi. At the start of the German-Romanian campaign against the Soviet Union, Romanian authorities spread the rumour that Jews were supporting the communist enemy. On 29 June 1941 tensions escalated into a pogrom, in which thousands of Jews were killed. Toni Albin was probably among those murdered.
