Iulica Marcusohn wurde 1928 in Jassy geboren. Sie wuchs mit zwei Geschwistern der Stadt im Norden Rumäniens auf. Am 29. Juni 1941 fand in Jassy das bis dahin größte Pogrom Rumäniens statt. Mehrere Tausend Juden wurden auf das Gelände des Polizeiquartiers getrieben, wo rumänische und deutsche Soldaten auf sie schossen. Eines des Opfer war die Schülerin Iulica Marcusohn.

Iulica Marcusohn was born in 1928 in Iaşi. She grew up with two siblings in this northern Romanian city. On 29 June 1941 Iaşi was the site of the largest pogrom Romania had ever seen up to then. Several thousand Jews were rounded up on the ground site of the police station, where Romanian and German soldiers shot at them. One of those who is killed was the schoolgirl Iulica Marcusohn.
