Kurz darauf begann das Sonderkommando 10 a mit Massenerschießungen bei denen über 3.000 Juden aus Melitopol und den umliegenden Ortschaften ermordet wurden. Eines der Opfer war Anna Babitsch. Sie wurde 70 Jahre alt.

Anna Babitsch was born in 1871 in the Ukrainian city of Melitopol. She lived in the city with her husband, Semion. The Wehrmacht occupied Melitopol am 5 October 1941. Soon, SS mobile killing squad 10a began its mass shooting operations, murdering more than 3,000 Jews from Melitopol and the surrounding area. One of the victims was Anna Babitsch. She was 70 years old.
