Michael Judasin

ermordet 1941 in Dnepropetrovsk/Dnipropetrowsk/Jekaterinoslaw

Mendel Gorelik was born in 1878. He lived in the Ukrainian city of Dnipropetrovsk and was a shoemaker. On 25 August 1941 the Wehrmacht occupied the city. During the night of 12 to 13 October 1941 about 15,000 Jewish men, women and children were ordered to assemble in a large warehouse. From there they were forced to walk to the Botanical Gardens, in convoys of 1,000 at a time. There, SS Mobile Killing Squad 6 machine-gunned them to death. One of those killed was Mendel Gorelik. He was 63 years old.
