Chasja Kaz lebte in Lepel, einer Kleinstadt im nördlichen Teil Weißrusslands. Sie heiratete und hatte zusammen mit ihrem Mann Israil drei Kinder. Am 3. Juli 1941 marschierte die Deutsche Wehrmacht in die Stadt ein. Bald darauf wurden alle 1.000 Juden aus Lepel und Umgebung gezwungen, in ein Ghetto zu ziehen. Am 28. Februar 1942 wurden dessen Bewohner mit Lastwagen in die Nähe des Dorfes Chernoruchye verschleppt und dort von Mitgliedern des SS-Einsatzkommandos 9 erschossen. Eine der Ermordeten war die 40jährige Chasja Kaz.

Chasja Kaz lived in Lepel, a small town in the northern part of Belarus. She was married, and she and her husband Israil had three children. On 3 July 1941 the German Wehrmacht entered the town. Soon afterward, all 1,000 Jews from Lepel and the surrounding area were forced to move into a ghetto. On 28 February 1942 the ghetto inmates were deported in lorries to the outskirts of the village of Chernoruchye, where they were shot by members of SS mobile killing squad 9. Among those murdered was 40-year-old Chasja Kaz.
