Wolf Bialer

Kaufmann, geboren 1890 in Lodz/Litzmannstadt/Łódź, ermordet 1944 in Auschwitz-Birkenau (VL)

Wolf Bialer wurde am 6. Februar 1890 in Lodz geboren. Er war Händler. Er heiratete Tauba Zylbersztajn, sie bekamen Zwillingstöchter und sie lebten in seiner Geburtsstadt. Anfang September 1939 besetzte die Wehrmacht die polnische Stadt. Kurz danach begann die deutsche Verwaltung mit der Konzentration aller Juden im Armenviertel Bałuty. Auch Wolf Bialer musste im Ghetto leben. Er wurde bei der Auflösung des Ghettos im August 1944 in das Vernichtungslager Auschwitz-Birkenau deportiert, wo er kurz nach seiner Ankunft mit Zyklon B ermordet wurde. Wolf Bialer war 54 Jahre alt.

Wolf Bialer was born on 6 February 1890 in Lodz. He was a merchant. Wolf Bialer married Tauba Zylbersztajn; they had twin daughters and lived in the city of his birth. In early September 1939 the Wehrmacht occupied the polish city and soon the German administration began to concentrate all the Jews in the poor district of Bałuty. Wolf Bialer was forced to resettle in the ghetto. In August 1944, during the liquidation of the ghetto, he was deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp, where he was murdered with Zyklon B shortly after his arrival. Wolf Bialer was 54 years old.
