Moshe Gershon

Moshe Gershon lebte in Międzyrzec Podlaski. Er war der Sohn von Tzipora und Tendeter Gershon und hatte eine Schwester. Die Familie lebte bis 1939 vom Textilhandel. Als dann deutsche Truppen die polnische Stadt überfielen, wurden sie ihrer Existenzgrundlage beraubt. Seit 1942 mussten sie in einem Ghetto leben. Am 26. Mai 1943 trieben Männer des Hamburger Polizeibataillons 101 ihn mit seinen Eltern auf den städtischen Marktplatz und von dort in einen Zug. Auf dem Weg in das Konzentrationslager Majdanek starb Moshes Mutter. Von Moshe Gershon fehlt jede Spur.

Moshe Gershon lived in Międzyrzec Podlaski. He was the son of Tzipora and Tendeter Gershon and had one sister. Through 1939, his father supported the family through the textile trade. But when German troops took over this Polish town, the family was robbed of its source of income. In 1942 they had to move into a ghetto. On 26 May 1943 men from Hamburg Police Battalion 101 rounded up the family on the town’s marketplace, and loaded them into a train. On the way to the Majdanek concentration camp, they murdered Moshe’s mother. Moshe Gershon was not seen again.
