Adolf Kohn

Adolf Kohn wurde 1906 in Nagysimonyi, einem ungarischen Dorf in der Nähe der österreichischen Grenze, geboren. Nach der Besetzung Ungarns durch das Deutsche Reich im Frühjahr 1944 begann die SS auch hier mit der systematischen Verfolgung der jüdischen Einwohner. Am 10. Mai 1944 wurden die Juden aus Nagysimonyi in das Ghetto der nahe gelegenen Stadt Szombathely verschleppt. Zwei Monate später deportierte die SS sie in das Vernichtungslager Auschwitz. Dort wurde auch Adolf Kohn mit Giftgas ermordet.

Adolf Kohn was born in 1906 in Nagysimonyi, a Hungarian village near the Austrian border. After the German Reich occupied Hungary in the spring of 1944, the SS began its systematic persecution of the Jews there. On 10 May 1944, they deported the Jews from Nagysimonyi to a ghetto in the nearby town of Szombathely. Two months later the SS deported them from the ghetto to the Auschwitz extermination camp, where Adolf Kohn was among those murdered with poison gas.
