Eva Rachel Lebovics

Eva Rachel Lebovics wurde am 26. Mai 1941 in Chust in der Tschechoslowakei geboren. Sie war die Tochter von Marketa und Mor Lebovics und hatte zwei Schwestern. Chust war 1939 von Ungarn annektiert und Evas Vater zu Zwangsarbeit in Ungarn herangezogen worden. Anfang 1944 besetzte die deutsche Wehrmacht Chust. Eva und ihre verbliebene Familie wurden ins Ghetto gezwungen. Im Mai 1944 deportierten die Besatzer sie nach Auschwitz. Im Vernichtungslager wurde Eva von ihrer Mutter getrennt und mit Giftgas ermordet. Eva Rachel Lebovics war 3 Jahre alt.

Eva Rachel Lebovics was born on 26 May 1941 in Chust in Czechoslovakia. She was the daughter of Marketa and Mor Lebovics and had two sisters. Chust had been annexed by Hungary in 1939 and Eva’s father was forced to work as a slave labourer in Hungary. In early 1944 the German Army occupied Chust. Eva and the rest of her family were forced to move into a ghetto. In May 1944 the occupiers deported her to the Auschwitz Extermination Camp, where Eva was separated from her mother and murdered with poison gas. Eva Rachel Lebovics was 3 years old.
