Betty Moses kam am 15. September 1871 als Tochter von Joseph Wronker in Neubrandenburg zur Welt. Dort lebte sie fast 30 Jahre lang in der Kleinen Fischerstraße 5. Am 21. November 1900 heiratete sie in Neubrandenburg den aus Berlin stammenden Gotthold Moses. Zuletzt lebte Betty Moses in Berlin. Im Oktober 1941 begannen SS und Gestapo mit der systematischen Deportation der in Deutschland lebenden Jüdinnen und Juden in die Ghettos und Konzentrationslager in Osteuropa. Betty Moses hätte Anfang Juni 1942 wahrscheinlich in das Ghetto Theresienstadt verschleppt werden sollen. In ihrer Verzweiflung sah sie keinen anderen Ausweg, als sich selbst das Leben zu nehmen. Am 30. Mai 1942 wurde sie tot in ihrer Berliner Wohnung aufgefunden. Betty Moses war 70 Jahre alt.

Betty Moses was born on September 15th, 1871, in the German town of Neubrandenburg, the daughter of Joseph Wronker. She lived there for almost 30 years at 5 Kleine Fischerstrasse. On November 21st, 1900, in Neubrandenburg, she married Gotthold Moses, who came from Berlin. Berlin was the last place where Betty Moses lived. In October 1941, the SS and Gestapo began the systematic deportation of Jewish men and women living in Germany to the ghettos and concentration camps in eastern Europe. Betty Moses was probably due to be deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto camp in early June 1942. In her despair she saw no avenue of escape other than to take her own life. On May 30th, 1942, she was found dead in her Berlin apartment. Betty Moses was 70 years old.
