Chaim Slavin wurde im weißrussischen Bobruisk geboren, einer Stadt südöstlich von Minsk, in der es einmal 40 Synagogen gab. Slavin heiratete und wurde Apotheker. Im Sommer 1941 besetzte die deutsche Wehrmacht die Stadt. SS-Einheiten folgten, die bald darauf mit der systematischen Ermordung der Juden von Bobruisk begannen. Chaim Slavin wurde im Oktober 1941 zusammen mit 5200 anderen Juden in das Dorf Kamenka verschleppt und dort vom Einsatzkommando 8 erschossen. Er war 45 Jahre alt.

Chaim Slavin was born in the Belarussian city of Babruysk, a city southeast of Minsk, which once had 40 synagogues. Slavin married and became a pharmacist. In the summer of 1941, the German Army occupied the city. It was not long before SS-units arrived and began carrying out the systematic murder of the Jews of Bobruisk.
